I have some dealer installed swirls my 2 month old 06 gto, and I need to get rid of them the next time I wax the car. I would be doing the work by hand, and was thinking either ScratchX or Poorboy's SSR1 Light Abrasive Swirl Remover 16 oz.

Also, which wax makes flake pop alot and doesnt leave a white residue? I know DP MW fits this criteria, but I think I rather work with a liquid wax. Thanks
you mite want to get another polish with a little more bite just in case...nothing more fustrating than gettin just the pb ssr1 or xmt 1 and you cant get them out...i would get at least xmt 2 and one...maybe even get the whole line 1,2,3...you cant go wrong doing that...also pinn. sig. ser. 2 is a wonderfull wowo wax that goes on and off like butter..and no white residue
Never found ScratchX all that great. Look for something like Clearkotes Vanilla Moose if using hand, or Menzernas Final Polish by machine. RMG is also great for machine and will add some serious wetness especially when topped with a carnauba like SSII (Pinnacle) that works well on the rich metallics.
What is RMG? R....? Maching Glaze? Is the PB SSR1 and 2 worth doing by hand? Anyone else have comments on ScratchX? I heard that it takes alot of work, but it works good.
From the pictures, how bad does it look? I dont think its too bad, but what do I know
What do you guys think about using the Polishin Pal with the yellow or orange pad with SSR1? Are the pads too aggressive, is the SSR1 not aggressive enough?
Don't use a yellow pad dude, yellow pad's are for severe imperfections, and in your case, I dont think you need an orange pad either.I have taken out worse swirls then yours with ScratchX. I use a Meguiars applicator pad, and it works great. It probably will work, but if you want to do your whole car, it might take a while. Try that, and if it doesnt work, come back for more help

Alot of people have said that scratchX is really abrasive, and I would rather start with something light like PB SSR1.
Using a cutting pad on the PP wouldnt help me with the job?

I would think it would, I am going to try the PB SSR2.5 with PP and yellow pad my dad has some light swirls and if that doesn`t work I will try the VM Also thinking about the spot buff pad kit, I got the CCS 4" pads and you can get a drill adapter and spot buff.
