Water and Bird Etchings...I need some help!

Ok i dont understand if i am doing something wrong or should i be doing more to prevent water and bird etchings?

my car is only 6 months old and i know that i have a very soft clear coat being that my car is a honda civic...i regulary wash my car (like twice a week)...i make sure to take any bird poo off of the car as quick as i can...i have waxed with car alteast once a month in the past 6 months (atleast)...

What should i do to get rid of these marks and what can i do to prevent and protect my paint so that this doesn't continue to occur?

What's under the wax. Maybe a good sealant under the wax will help.

the car does need a good detail and i was simply waiting for the opportunity to do so...im not sure if i have a sealant in my new detailing arsenal...

im not sure if i have a sealant though...i was going to go XMT #2...then either XMT #1 or just go to Clear Kote Vin and Red Moose...and finish with SSII wax...

i am making an order by monday and i am wondering if i should order something extra as a sealant for the paint?

if a sealant is what i need to look into...then what is a good sealant for a fiji blue pearl paint?

and what can i do to get rid of the water and bird etchings?

Try the XMT 1 or 2 first, if it doesn't remove it, try XMT 360 with SS11 over it. Good Luck. Remember least aggressive pad and polish first.

polish them out with XMT 1 or 2, depending on severity of damage.
Protect with a good sealant - Duragloss #105, and after it cures for 12 hours apply a high quality canauba wax (for durability I really like Collinite 476S).

Duragloss #105 + Collinite 476S = great armor for all bird poop!

just remember to remove poop as soon as you can. #105/476S won't protect from bird poop if it sits too long, but greatly reduce chances of acid making it to/through your clear coat. I use this combo myselt and love it! Best combo for daily driver vehicles.

You need to clay the car first. If that doesnt work then try white vinegar, if that doesnt work then polish, and if that doesnt work then you need to wet sand it.

...i just looked at DG #105...seems like a great product but i am wondering if it would take away from the VMG and RMG?

...also, does the color of the car have anything to do with what type of sealant you use? i have a fiji blue pearl paint...

A good sealant and a durable wax is good protection from bird etchings..not a stop all but a decelerator...collinite would be wax of choice..very durable ..the sealants are endless....

some sealants do not bond well to RMG or VMG because of the oil content....

to rid the etchings you need the right polish and pad combo....menzerna 106 has removed etchings for me..so has SIP....I've used with a PC and rotary..the PC just takes a bit longer...

I would NOT wetsand a new car finish..you compromise the integrity of it and with out a paint thickness gauge you risk removing to much clear and later on down the road after a few polishings you risk a chance of clear coat failure...the UV protectors in paint are on the top layer of the clear..plus Honda paint is soft...

if your efforts trying a polish and PC do not remove the etchings ..you may want to locate a pro with rotary skills ..

some of the more durable sealants I have used are ..Klasse twins...(AIO and Sealant Glaze)..DG 105...Rejex..Zaino..and I have heard the Liquid Glass is very durable..most of those listed do not play well with VMG and RMG..
