Question leather conditioning - how often???

how often is recommnded to condition leather? I've been conditioning it every 7-9 weeks using Pinnacle conditioner, and once every 2 weeks(driver's seat for quick touch ups) using Meguiar's leather wipes(Sorry Pinnacle, but you don't make leather wipes)...I live in Northern California.

Consider the Leatherique rejuvinator for leather seats that has lost there look. On Vettes (pre 05) the leather is actually coated or what I like to call pleather. (platic coated leather) Something like Poorboys leather conditioner will make it look brighter and slightly more slippery also.

As for conditioning leather, it really comes down to environment. Are the windows tinted ?? What kind of heat does the interior see ?? I think it is safe to protect every 3-5 weeks or about as often as you clean glass and the interior gets vacuumed.

I have a 1991 Chevy Caprice Classic that I bought a few months ago. I don't know about newer cars, but the leather needed a good cleaning and conditioning. I used Meguiars cleaner/conditioner and after the first use, what a world of difference. Since than I use it every two to three weeks and the leather seems to get better every time. Again I am new here, but for me this stuff works great and the creme also leaves a nice smell to the car.

Do you know if the leather is coated or uncoated?

If you mean like a plastic coating over the leather, no it is not coated. It is an older car, but the best I can tell it is natural leather with no coating
