Clay Bar

Wats up every body Im new here and I need to know if I can use my clay bar on my chrome brush guard to get what I think is road grime off

Fist off, Nice Screen name!!! haha

Second, I don't know, that's tricky. IF I did use a clay bar, I'd use a very very fine grade. Try a very good wheel cleaner first that's safe of Chrome.

Welcome, by the way!



Pinnacle Ultra-Poly clay is the ONLY clay I would use on metal.

Pinnacle’s Ultra Poly Clay is the single finest clay composition available today. Use auto Detailing clay to deep clean car paint, glass and chrome.

It is the "finest" grade of clay available.


I still would try a bug sponge and a little elbow grease first...

and if you do end up using clay...make sure it is well lubricated so you dont dull it....just a tip..dont wanna scuff it

Well I tried the clay bar and I dont think any of it came off I dont know what it is it looks like little black spots all over parts of my brush guard

Any body ever used Nevr-Dull it says it will remove rust, tar, and contaminants – all without scratching even delicate metal surfaces
