Is It Safe To Uses Solvent On Paint? I Know Its Great For Removing Tar But Does It Harm The Clear Cote At All? Can You Use It On Plastic Too?

| | | a product like Prep Sol..or Body solvent is safe on paint,,it will remove any wax or sealant on the paint mind you,,but will clean tar....most can be used on plastics also...

Just make sure what ever your using does say safe for plastic...as I said most are...I use Kerosene for tar removal...same as Diesal fuel...really breaks tar down...thats what most road tar crews use to clean tar from equipment...and does not effect paint or plastic...

Al | Kerosene is great,so is mineral spirits.Mineral spirits is less oily then kerosene. Kerosene is less oily then diesel fuel. |
