Solvent Quistion????

Is It Safe To Uses Solvent On Paint? I Know Its Great For Removing Tar But Does It Harm The Clear Cote At All? Can You Use It On Plastic Too?

its for tar removel .its made for paint i just wanted to make sure i uses ok

a product like Prep Sol..or Body solvent is safe on paint,,it will remove any wax or sealant on the paint mind you,,but will clean tar....most can be used on plastics also...

Just make sure what ever your using does say safe for plastic...as I said most are...I use Kerosene for tar removal...same as Diesal fuel...really breaks tar down...thats what most road tar crews use to clean tar from equipment...and does not effect paint or plastic...

Poorboy's Bug Squash and Stoners Tarminator alway worked for me. Safe, effective, and inexpensive. Be sure to rewax.

Kerosene is great,so is mineral spirits.Mineral spirits is less oily then kerosene. Kerosene is less oily then diesel fuel.

I have a gallon of Megs Body Solvent at Justin's suggestion. MAN, this stuff is AWESOME. It's very oily and doesn't feel like it would be that powerful. But just spray it on, and wipe off, really works wonders. Has a unique smell too. Not a bad smell.
