Products for a new, silver, car?

Hello everyone,

I've been working my way through as many relevant posts I can find on the subject (and I must say, there are many), and I wanted to double check and make sure I am not forgetting anything that I need to buy/do.

I just bought a silver '07 Honda Civic. It will always be kept outside so I need to take the best care that I can to protect my investment.

Last weekend I washed/clayed/ and used Klasse AIO.

I was planning on waxing it this weekend (actually I was going to do it last weekend but I got the AIO and the Klasse Sealer/glaze mixed up and thought I had to wait 12 hours before waxing... I thought the AIO -WAS- the sealer/protectant) but I thought it might be better if I used the Klasse Sealer or similar first.

Because I split things up over a week, I was wondering if I should repeat any steps beyond washing? Am I missing anything? I'll have to admit there is so much information, it’s a little overwhelming.

Also, if I do use the Klasse Sealer, I will have to place another order and would like to make sure I have "EVERYTHING" this time:

This is what I have so far:
Porter Cable 7424
5” Flexible Hook & Loop Backing Plate
Lambswool Leveling Pad
A few microfiber and Terry Bonnets
Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo
Pinnacle Vinyl & Rubber Protectant

Souveran / Klasse Kit
10 oz. Klasse All-In-One
8 oz. Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
4 oz. Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay
16 oz. Pinnacle Clay Lubricant
16 oz. Pinnacle Crystal Mist Carnauba Detail Spray
2 Pinnacle Foam Applicators
3 Cobra Indigo Edgeless Microfiber Polishing Cloths
1 Cobra Microfiber Detailing Pad

Cobra Total Microfiber Tool Kit
1 Cobra Ultimate Guzzler
1 Cobra Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt
4 Cobra Microfiber Applicator Pads
1 Pair Microfiber Gloves
3 Miracle Towels

I was thinking I should get:
Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze
Stoner Invisible Glass Pump Spray
Cobra Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass Towel
303 Wiper Treatment
Plexus Plastic Cleaner, Protectant & Polish
Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1

Dual Action 6.5" CCS Foam Pad Kit
2-CCS White 6.5 Inch Polishing Foam Pads
1-CCS Gray 6.5 Inch Finishing Foam Pad
1-CCS Blue 6.5 Inch Finessing Foam Pad
2 Cobra Microfiber Towels
2 oz. Cobra Quik Clenz Pad Cleaner
12 oz. Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner
12 oz. Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Conditioner

Not completely sold on these 3 items:
The ShMITT Multi-purpose Foam Mitt
Quart Foamaster Foam Gun
Pinnacle Wheel & Tire Kit
Pinnacle Gel Wheel Cleaner
Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
Short Handle Tire & Wheel Brush
1 Pair of Microfiber Gloves
1 Cobra Tire Gel Applicator

Any opinions, suggestions, tips ARE appreciated!
And I thank you if you actually read my post.

That is quite a large order. I would NOT get a leveling pad, unless you have experience, which I am assuming you don't have a lot of. Are you planning on stripping the car and adding all the products? Klasse Sealant is a good product, a little finicky to work with when beginning though. You can use that for now until you get that order in. The schmitt is good, foam gun is not NECESSARY, Pinnacle tire kit is good, but there are cheaper options. You may want to look at what Wolfgang has to offer, it is on sale right now and is VERY comparable to the Pinnacle.

I've just kinda skimmed it for you.

I can see why you're leaning towards the new CCS foam kit, but at least take a look at the Edge 2000 pad kit. It comes with all 5 pads in the series, not just 3. Also comes with the adapter, XMT cleaner/conditioner. One of the best bargains on this site IMO.

Also, take a look at the DP line. Highly overlooked. Might save you a few pennies and they are great great products, also they come in 32oz. not 16 oz like Pinnacle.
If you don't get any DP products, at least get DP's vision glass cleaner. GREAT glass cleaner.

O, and get the SHMITT!!!

And welcome to the addiction!

Actually I already have the leveling pad. Yes, I am inexperienced and I didn't know it was that difficult to use.

These look like they'd be better geared toward the beginner since I don't have to worry about centering the pad. Thanks for the suggestion!

Klasse SG is very durable sealant, but is finishy and difficult to remove. I use mine only to seal car for winter protection. Personally I like 4* UPP or DP surface shild better. Another nice one is Wolfgang DGPS - gives you warm, carnauba like finish.

ShMitt is awesome and you just gotta have one. I personally prefer All White Shmitt on my car and white/yellow Shmitt on family cars. Foam gun is optional, but is very helpful tool.
Pinnacle gel wheel cleaner is very nice, but if you are looking for the best bang for the buck - then get DP.

Good luck and post some pictures.

I agree on the SG being a bit difficult to use. Although I think killerwheels mentioned it's easier to apply/remove if applied through a spritzer. I just haven't tried that yet.

Although AG doesn't sell it, and I apologize to the moderators for mentioning it, if you're fixed on using an acrylic sealant, Werkstatt's AJT is very easy to apply/remove. Look and longevity have been impressive IMO.

The items you listed above are awesome products that you will like and WILL be sold on once you use them. I would opt for the smaller foam gun for an Accord, but that's just me.
