New Truck

I just bought a new 2007 red Silverado. I put a coat of souveran on when I first got it about a month ago. I am wanting to clay it after reading other posts about new vehicles. Should I remove the wax with wolfgang paintwork polish enhancer or just use the clay to remove. I am going to seal with wolfgang and then wax with souveran again. Any thoughts?

Go ahead and clay first. Then remove a previous coat of wax with Wolfgang paintwork polish enhanser, apply a coat of sealant, let it cure for 12 hours (I would apply 2 coats of sealant, 12 hours apart), then wax

Post pictures when you are done.

Good luck.

I would clay, polish with a finishing polish like XMT 1 or Poorboys SSR 1.0, and then recoat with Souveran. You could also consider VMG (hand) or RMG (machine) instead of XMT/SSR, and that truck will be dripping wet !!

Hey, how do you like the new gen pickups? My friend just ordered a new GMC 3500HD with basically every option, 4 drs, Duramax diesel of course etc. Still has his bad ass 03' Cummins Ram but don't think he's selling it. I want to see how the new trucks drive and check out the new interior. The LBZ version of the Duramax and 6 speed auto is a sweet combo. I'm a Ford truck guy but I think Ford is going to have issues on the new variable vane TT setup on the new Powerstroke, just look what happened with the 1st two years of the last gen.....cringe...

Clearkote Vanilla Moose Glaze (hand polish and glaze) or Red Moose Glaze (machine polish and glaze). Both add noticable wetness to the already dripping Souveran. Great combo's
