New to forum and detailing, Need advice

Hi everyone. I need some advice on what to buy from Autogeek for my car. I have a '97 Tornado Red VW Gti with some oxidizing. Mostly on the hood, roof and bumpers. I'm looking to buy Optimum Porter Cable 7424 Kit but need to know if this is what I need.

I have Meguires #6 and #9 and also tried New Finish which seems to work but it fades back out after about 10 days. Any help would be appriciated.

BG

Welcome...

Looks like you are on the right track... Im not familiar with Meguiars line, but others here will chime in im sure.
Anther kit worthy of your attention is the XMT or Poorboys 7424 kit.
Im not sure if you are just looking for a polish kit, or looking for a total detail solution. Either way, you will probably buy more once you start....

Some favorites on the forums are....

Klasse AIO
DP Sealant
DP Max Wax
Pinnacle Souvern Wax
PB Natty's Blue
PB Spray and Wipe (waterless wash)
Ofcourse there are others....

Good luck

Here is a good kit with the pc and edge pads. This will take care of the pc and pads for you. P.S. It's cheaper to get things in a kit if you need all of it anyway.

Next this kit is highly recommended around here for swirl removal.

Here is a good sealant.

Here are a couple of good waxes that get high reviews around here.

Right now I'm more concerned with getting the Oxidation off and getting rid of the dullness. So many kits to choose from.

Got my kit. The Wolfgang pad rejuvenator leaked out all over everything in the box. This is not going to be a good day for me.
