Why such a big difference between souveran paste and wax?

Souveran is a great wax from all the pics I've seen (soon to try after winter) but MaxWax blew me away with the "wet" look it pulled out of my wifes Fusion (Combo:AIO/"Pink Moose"/MaxWax

after seeing those pics, id like to see that car in liquid... i think it would make the flake look amazing. more shiny and bright than wet
