| | | just used xmt products I just did the hood of my car which is a black bmw 3 series. I used #2 #1 and the xmt glaze and carnauba sealer. After I got done, the paint looks good but under an angle it looks like there is a bunch of tiny dots all over the hood like little tiny holes and these appeared after detailing. does anyone have any idea what caused that? |

| | | Are you sure the tiny holes was not there before you polish? Or could be polish splatter. |

| | | Im not even sure they are tiny holes, thats just what they look like. I realy think they are just tiny dotty spots but they will not come off. They deffinetely werent there before I started and you can only see they at night under light. At daytime you realy cant see them unless you get real close at an angle. Also it took me about 3 hours to do the hood, is that normal for that three step process? Thanks for the help in advance. |

| | | Three hours to do the hood? Did you do it by hand or used a PC?

| | | It's probably rock chips and pits. I see this all the time. Nothing you can do about it. It's the only problem with cleaning the paint......it shows any imperfections that are there. The glaze will do this too. You might want to take a 50/50 water/alcohol mix and wipe after polishing. Some of the polish may be down in the pits making them stand out more.
A pic or 2 would help me more but i'm 99.99999% sure this is what it is. |

| | | I used the orange pad with xmt #2 pc setting 5, followed that with white pad with xmt #1 pc setting 5, then I did the glaze with the gray pad pc setting 4 and after that I coated it with Mothers carnauba wax with a gray pad and removed it by hand. I'll try to post some pics today. |
