I have read many posts and have not seen a lot of talk about 3M products. Does anyone have any experience with them ?

having used the many moons ago, I would highly suggest a number of other lines. Poorboys, XMT, Menzerna, and the PBMA lines (Pinnacle, Dp, Wolfgang) are all easier to use for novice.
