confused newbie

Hi all
Hope I’ve posted this in right place
I’ve finally got a car that by my standards is worth looking after
I’ve been researching paint protection etc and I’m increasingly confused
I want a DIY system as £250 is well outside my budget but don’t know whether I should look at nanotech, PTFE , or other type of system. I’ve looked at toughseal, diamondbrite and supagard all available online or via ebay etc
But which is best and can I use a wax e.g carnauba over top to enhance shine?
Protection is the most important factor as car has to last and I’m not really an enthusiast when it comes to cleaning etc so it has to respond well to a quick occasional wash
My car is metallic silver and is 9 months old
Thanks
Gazza

instead of doing all that, just go get a clay bar, some klasse all in one, and some four star ultimate paint protection (if your feeling crazy, pick up some UPP spray also). wash/clay/aio/uppx3 every 3-4 months and your set (maybe less depending on your climate, but that's the durability i got when using that combo in the florida summer sun). use the upp spray after every wash and it will help extend this time.
the AIO/UPP combo on silver looks amazing also. the paint is really brightened up and the metallic flake pop is insane!
