| | | Well, I should say I'm living the painting nightmare at this very moment. I tried to repair my front lower spoiler (left, right) and my left fender last weekend. I got aerosol paint and clearcoat from the internet and the color pretty much matches (I performed a sprayout), only big problem is that after bringing on the clear coat it doesn't shine, some spots are shinnier then others. I'm still contemplating what I should do next.
1. Just wet sand the clear coat with 1200 and see if it will shine.
2. If it doesn't I guess I'll just try and remove the clear coat with 800 or 1200 spray on a new coat of clear. |

| | | Not so much scarey, but I find touch-up work to be the most painstaking. I feel that if someone can do touchups WELL, they have truely become a skilled detailer. |

| | | I'm new and the thing that scares me at the moment are the edges with the PC, perhaps I shouldn't be scared of them but like I said I'm new and still trying to get the hang of it.
Question, is there a process for doing touch up? If so could someone point me to the class room. |
