Terry towels

There are a few companies (DF Towel) that make 100% cotton towels but you will pay hansomely for the benefit.
I believe they are have a 20% off sale.

I would have to disagree to an extent... my 20 from bj's are top notch... for $9.99 they are an amazing bargin.... Granted I dont have a C6, but I do not want any swirls/scratches introduced by the towels....
I did a CD test on 2 of them and they did not scratch... (and I rubbed with ALOT of force!). I also wouldnt necessarily use an "old" CD.. most of those already have scratches on them.... Get a new one (a blank CD or DVD) take a look in the light for scratching and them go to town.... This is what I did.
Now ofcourse I did buy 6 more super plushes in the recent Pinnaclewax 15% off sale... at $4.25 a piece they are a decent bargain as well.....
My Cobra Mangos scare me alot more than my BJ's towels....

Even if you dont use the BJ's/Costco's on your paint.. they are more than fine for wheels/glass/interior work.... I think you have to put it into perspective.... and sometimes we are brainwashed into thinking that something that is inexpensive cant be good....

I have to say I disagree. The BJ's towels are not good. They were very soft when I first bought them, but after a few uses and washes (with Pinnacle Micro Wash) they lost their softness completely. I try to only use them in jambs, the engine bay, or on wheels. Also, the edging on these towels seems pretty abrasive although I did not CD test it.

Kind of back on topic, another problem with cotton towels is lint. My dad just bought a brand new black BMW 650 convertible. He washed it himself about a week after he bought it using some old detailing stuff I had left in his garage. Of course, he used my old Meguiar's cotton towel to dry the car. His convertible top was lint city afterward.

Im not there yet... but I will watch out for them as they get washed more....(maybe if I get a dry weekend!?!?!!?)

That's what I've found too. I have yet to find a 100% cotton terry that's made in the US.

Ace .... I understand where you are coming from, but it is the lack of quality from towel to towel that is the issue with Costgo/Bjs bulk. You could have dozen great ones, and several bad ones. There is no quality control , I am not saying that you cannot find a couple that work well.

For a couple bucks (consider it insurance) I would still purchase AG's and Pakshak in bulk. Got some nice Destiny ones recently online also. I have personally found in life you get what you pay for ... but you also need to shop wisely as name brand alone does not equate to quality.

Gotcha man... no worries, I know you are just trying to keep everyone from scratching the snot out of their rides...
I really really like the miracle and super plushes and they are my "go to" towels for removing wax and sealants... but for general cleanup, tires and wheels, interior, etc...
I grab the cheapies....
Recently I had a MAJOR bird poo on the van... I pulled out the BJ's towel and some S&W and got it off.... looked at the towel.... knew it was "hosed" and just tossed it...
At 40 cents a piece I have no issue with chucking them.....
