she'll change .... trust me, they all do. But enjoy your time now, because when her's comes you need to allow her to grow, flurish, and find her place/wants/desires. The benefit is you will most likely start to see the joy that can come from making those special "people" happy.
(and I bet she already knows it, thats why she see's your hobby as an expense worthwhile)
