Exclamation To seal or not to seal?

It's bloddy hot outside. 105 today. low was in the 80's. I washed my car at 8:00 AM and by the time I finished I was dripping with sweat. Did I mention it's hot?

I have a bottle of WG Sealant and I'm dying to use it. But here's the rub, my dark green car has swirls and scratches. I want to use the PC and swirl remover (I have PB SSR 2.5 & 1) but it is way too hot to spend the day in the garage doing that.

What if I applied a coat of WG Sealant and topped with Natty Blue? Will it make the swirls look worse? Will it make the car look better until the global warming lets North Texas get some relief and I can do the PC?

Thanks for your advice!

The sealant will probably enhance your swirls since you have a dark colored car. Since the car is clean and garaged, could you get up early like around 6am and start polishing when it's cooler? Or maybe you could even do a section at a time like say just tackle the hood and roof one day polishing and sealing, or just one side of the car and work in stages to be able to get it done in the cooler morning hours?? Just a suggestion. I don't know how your schedule is.

Ditto, definitely break it into sections if you don't have time or energy or heat tolerance. I would just let the swirls stay until you can tackle it, no use in wasting product.

Thanks! I'll wait. I may try to tackle the polishing in the morning hours then.

Never rush the perfect finish ... or you will likely need to start from scratch.

I polished my truck two weeks ago when it was 95 out and a heat index of
105 to 110. It was very hot. I got up in the mornings and did the polishing until I got it the way I wanted it. It took a couple days. I got up one morning
to seal it and give it all day to cure and not have dew mess the cure of the
sealant up. A week later I applied another coat of sealant. It looks great.
Not having a garage forces you to work around mother nature. Moisture is
hard to control. Heat I had to deal with. Mornings were the eaiser way to
deal with the heat. It was still hot and sweat was a pouring. Drink plenty of
water. Drink it before you get thirsty. Try to find shade for a little releif.
I did the top and hood first and turned the truck so I was in working the
shady side for the sides.

Excellent advice. Thanks. Did you have to wash the truck each time you worked on it?
