Want it to be better

Gonna try one more time to get some of the oxidation out and bring the shine out a bit more.
This is what i used last time
Optimum Compound
Optimum Polish
Poorboy's EX-P Pure Sealant
Poorboy's Natty’s Paste Wax – BLUE

here's the car for an idea of the color

i dont want to go through the compounding again since i believe i did a pretty good job the first time around a few months ago. so i guess i'm looking to do the steps for anything after the compound.
i think i'm gonna buy a 3.5 pad kit to get the lower portion of the car a bit better also.
so yea, what do you guys think would work better than what i previously purchased. i'm trying to get the car ready for a car show in cali, and I want to get it to REALLY shine if possible.

Although it is a picture, I'd say you've done about as good of a job possible for that paint. If it is a show car, have it painted and start fresh.

well its far from a show car.. i'm just going to cali for the Fabulous Fords car show and was thinking of entering, but i want to get it shine a bit more if i decide to do that.

i was afraid that would probably be the answer most would say though in regards to the paint.

i do however plan on waxing and possibly polishing the car again one more time... any ideas on what would possibly be a better choice than what i've already used?

You did a good job with the oxidation unfortunately your problem looks to be within the paint,As for as your products of choice i think this is also a good choice.Their may be a better wax/sealant but i don't see it making much more of a difference..

nice work ... you clearly (pic 1) made a huge difference in the paint. When paint has some hazing or blotchy you might wanna use a final polish as possible with a finishing pad (after polish and compound steps). Sometimes j e w e l-ing the surface.

so then maybe do a finishing polish, and then another coat of natty's blue paste??

if so, what finishing polish should i use?

also, if i final polish it, will i need to seal it again before the wax?

Even a final polish will have enough abrasives (although very fine) to remove all the Nattys Blue and some/all of the EX-P. For final polishing I use Poorboys SSR 1.0 or Menzerna's FP.

It does kind of look like the blotchiness is in the paint itself, but try some more polishing and see what happens. It's too hard to tell without seeing the car in person, but I have seen something like this before and it was in the paint.

The nice thing about Optimum Polish is that you can work it in forever, and in a way, use it as a finishing polish. I would use it on speed 5 with a polishing pad and work it in for awhile.

Hmm, ok.

So should i just stick with the Optimum Polish, or go with the Poorboys 1.0 or Menzerna's FP? (neither of which i could find on the site...???)
