88 300ZX SEVERE Oxidation

Hi there..

I am no pro to the detailing industry but have gained quite a bit of knowledge and am about to help... keyword "help" a buddy out with his car that seems to have no clear coat over it in other words it seems to be a stage 1 paint. It was very cloudy and we wanted to try out some techniques and see what we could do to bring it back to life to the best of our ability. We washed the rear bumper with optimum rinseless wash. Then moved straight to the M105 to start removing oxidation.. I do not have any pics up I will get some tomorrow. Used M105 with yellow bad on a PC and it did a very good job. Retrieved a gloss back and he was amazed. Followed the M105 with optimum polish and then a poli-seal. It did wonders for the little section. Did I go about this correct?? Also what can I do about all the paint on my pads.. even the orange and green pad picked some up. Let me know.. thanks so much

single stage paint with transfer paint and oxidation to polishing pads. All you can do is wash them well to try and remove it. Likely the pads may have some light staining if not removed immediately but still can be used.

Thanks thats what I figured.. I let the pads soak over night in two gallons with the pinnacle micro rejuvinator. I did well on breaking down the chemical, but the pad is stained. The orange pad is stained worse then the yellow.
