Yes, it comes with an optional upholstery kit. It's an extra $3, if you want it. The hose is pretty long so it works well for auto carpets.
I actually just finished shampooing my Audi's mats. The car's only 8 months old, but holy crappola... I could not believe how much dirt were in those mats. I vacuum them every couple weeks, but the Rug Doctor extracted a ton of dirt still. At first I thought the mat's black dye was coming off because the water coming out was so dark, but nope, it was pure dirt. I also did the carpets underneath.
The Audi's seats are leather, so next up will be the family van's mats and carpet, but I won't touch the fabric seats on those yet.
