Question about Foam Gun

been considering the Wolfgang Half gallon foam gun.
is it necessary to have it connected to a pressure washer ?
the garden tap produces a moderate pressure I guess.
I'm not after strong bursts or any of that sort , just want to get a layer of frothy foam
onto the car, and from there I'll continue to use the usual 2 bucket method.

dont think I will be using the method as suggested on the product description page about following the foam with the mitt . too much wastage of water me thinks.

my go to shampoos are Optimum Car wash, and megs GC shampoo.
Would they be good for this purpose ?
whats the dilution ratio for the optimum car wash ?

will be good to hear more about this .

oh yeah, and is it really really big and bulky ?
i can imagine the box being overly big and postage being a killer. (international postage)

and lastly, what about the brass connector item on the bottom of the page ? is that a special add on part ?
how does the connector look like ? as in from the end of my rubber hose to be connected to the foam gun ?
would a kind soul please take some pics for me ?

thanks !!!

NO

YES BUT DP XTREME WILL REALLY PRODUCE SUDS FOR YOU

whats the dilution ratio for the optimum car wash ?
FOR YOUR PURPOSE, I WOULD NOT GET THE HALF GALLON GUN BUT THE QUART
POUR ABOUT 2 oz OF SOAP IN CONTAINER, FILL REST WITH WATER AND THEN SHAKE

oh yeah, and is it really really big and bulky ?
POSTAGE ON THIS WILL NOT BE THAT HIGH SINCE IT IS NOT THAT HEAVY

and lastly, what about the brass connector item on the bottom of the page ?
QUICK CONNECTS MAKE IT EASY TO REMOVE FROM HOSE, YOU CAN SWITCH BETWEEN DETAILING TOOLS FAST

is that a special add on part ? IT IS EXTRA IF YOU WANT IT

as in from the end of my rubber hose to be connected to the foam gun ? YES CONNECTORS CAN CONNECT HOSE TO GUN, HOSE TO SPRAY NOZZLE, ETC.

Re: Question about Foam Gun

Thanks for your reply Meghan.
What I am concerned with is the attachment parts from the hose to the foam gun.
I am not too sure how the inlet of the foam gun looks like.

what I have now on my hose is something like a quick release too.
I'm wondering if i get the brass connector set, can I still plug in my original nozzle into the brass connector, or the foam gun into the original connector (black one in the pics)

Re: Question about Foam Gun

Meghan , would you be able to get pics of the water inlet part of the spray gun where the hose gets connected to ?

if without the quick release connectors, im sure the spray gun water inlet is a screw thread kind. Will it be able to fit into the screw thread end of my hose ?

pics as follows:

those are 2 sizes which it can fit. hopefully the spray gun can....

Re: Question about Foam Gun

Quick connect and the foam gun nozzle all screw into the end of your standard hose threads.
