a couple of duragloss questions......

Which Duragloss combo do you guys think would be best for winter?

501/105 or
601/105 or any other combinations?

Also has anyone here used the 601 polish bonding agent with any non-duragloss polymer sealants (particularly wolfgang dgps which I already have), and if so did it enhance the durability?

Thanks a bunch in advance...........

Re: a couple of duragloss questions......

501 is a Marine/RV polish. I always recommend using this to get a good base if your paint can use a cleaner. It works similar to Klasse AIO in that it will remove oxidation, clean the paint very well, and leave a small layer of protection.

If I had to choose either of those combos, I'd go with 501 + 105, but ideally, I would use 501 + 601 + 105. 601 is cheap, and takes a few extra minutes to apply to the entire car before using 105, so for the extra bonding and protection I think it's worth it.

501 and 105 is all you should need... the 601 is a polish bonding agent, with the mean cleaners in 501 you really don't need a bonding agent for the 105 to properly cure...

It's cheap easy insurance.

Totally agree with you on that one but have you used 501 with a machine...

I have and was ABSOLUTELY amazed at what it pulled off my paint.. AND this was after a full 3 step polishing... I was amazed at the cleaning power of it which is why I don't see the need anylonger for 601 is I am using 501...

If you are hand applying 501 then I would agree that 601 may still be of benefit but with the machine action of 501, you have in your hands a MEAN cleaining machine!

I agree....501 is an awesome cleaner, and even more effective than Klasse AIO in my experiences. Since 601 is so cheap and the extra step is nothing, the added insurance / durability is worth it IMO.

Re: a couple of duragloss questions......

I have not used 501 under 105, but I do find that 601 under 105 has always kept it on longer. I would definitely use 601. I'm sure using 501 and then 601 before 105 wouldn't hurt.

Re: a couple of duragloss questions......

I very often use 501 by machine, followed by the 601/105 combo. I highly recommend it for paint finish and protection.
