Just tried my g110 for the first time..

okay i just detailed my hood only.. didnt do anything else, just wanted to test the polisher since this is my first time using any polisher.. first thing, WOW, tons of vibrations from using it.. i have to take a small break after the first pass lol.. first i tried optimum polish with white pad.. didnt do jack.. then i tried it with the yellow pad.. did a tiny bit but not much.. then i switched to the compound with orange and it did a lot.. 90% of scratches are gone.. altough there still are some i can see in the light.. some long ones too runing down the hood.. should i go over it again with compound + orange? or try polish + orange? what do u think? also, its hard for me to tell when the compound/polish has broken down.. after the first pass i start to see it become translucent.. i cant really tell when its fully broken down or not..

If it turns translucent its broken down. How long did it take you to do a 2X2 section? If the polish with the white pad did not remove the scratches then do another pass with the compound and then polish with the white pad.

i dont know 3 mins or so.. and also im using cobra gross grove cutting pads for the orange.. i only have one orange lcc that i bought to make it a total 4 (3 free cobra pads came with the kit).. the cobra pads dust so much! can the dust scratch the paint of the buffer goes over it? i dont have time to keep wiping it away every second.. nor a 3rd hand..

You should not be buffing over dust. Next time use a little water to prime the pad. Be sure to spur the pad often. Get the 4" pads for better and faster correction.

Its a stiff brush that will take off the dried polish from the pad. AG sells it.

Re: Just tried my g110 for the first time..

All my buffers vibrate a bit, and the PC always made my hands itch. The G110 is suppose to be a bit more powerful than PC, so could be the extra feeling. Make sure to read directions as I dont remember if you need to add a washer like the PC. Enjoy !
