New Car Paint vs Bug Guts

Does anyone why bug remnants splattered onto paint acts like bird dropings?

Second, what can I do to bring the minor imperfection caused by the bug back to normal?

Re: New Car Paint vs Bug Guts

Acid from bugs and bird droppings will start to etch into paint. Best preventive is to remove ASAP. If caught soon enough they can be polished to remove minor etching.

keep a mf towel in trunk with some Poorboys Bug Squash. Polish the area a bit, and reprotect, it should come up easily if fresh.
