Sorry about that, got a little confused. While good lighting is always a good idea, it's very important when correcting paint (scratch and swirl removal) especially if you want something in the 95 - 100% perfect range. I don't think you need halogens to wax your car, as long as there is adequate lighting to see what you're doing. Halogens would only make imperfections stand out, without a buffer and polishes, you'd have a very hard time doing anything about them anyway (other than a glaze).
