Picked up my light today

Well tomorrow is the big day. My first detail with a PC. I picked up this light today at Sears

Re: Picked up my light today

Looking good....I've got a similar setup still in the box. I found two 500w lights for $6 though...so the tripod setup might be going back.

Re: Picked up my light today

Is it better to use the halogen, or sun/daylight?

Re: Picked up my light today

I think it's nice to have a 1000w setup to illuminate areas when the sun's not out. Plus, I've always detailed in a garage...not in the sun.

Its hard to work out in the sun. Halogens in the garage and final inspection in direct sunlight.

Good call. last detail i did, 2 or so hours into it, I swear the lights got to the point that they were bug zappers. every so often id hear a bug hit it and a sizzle. Mine are 1100 or 1200 watts and verrrrrry effective. dont forget to look at the paint from all angles under these bright lights tho.
