| I need some paint chip repair help!
Is paint repair considered detailing?
I ordered some touch up paint, primer and clear coat along with sand paper so that I could repair a couple paint chips/scratches before I order my detailing supplies. I'm in the process of applying my base coat right now. I just realized that I should have probably added some paint thinner because the paint came pretty thick... anyway, the paint is just blobbing on top of the chips. Is that alright? How should I get rid of the excess paint? I have 200, 600 and 1000 wet/dry sand paper along with rubbing compound. I'm thinking I may need higher grit. Would going over the new paint with some polishing compound also help? Any help would be great, thanks. |
