cleaning trunk interior

A couple of days ago I pulled my rear seats and trunk carpet. This is what I found. It looks like some type of grease and is very thick. I was wondering what would be the best way to clean this up? Any cleaners I should use so not to damage the paint anymore?

Looks like some dry sticky soda. Have you tried 10:1 of a APC ???

He (or is it she) is referring to an All Purpose Cleaner (APC) diluted 10 parts water to 1 part APC. Simple Green is a common APC that can be found locally. Some really good ones can be purchased at AG like Poorboy's World Bio Degradable APC. or Meguiar's APC

The consensus on here was NO, and can be very risky on aluminum wheels.

Re: cleaning trunk interior

Stoners Tarminator, or Poorboys Bug Squash. Both work on alot of small issues. Might be worth a try ...
