Never Seen This Before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so I started to polish down this 2002 altima, using poorboys 2.5 with orange pad, and customer has told me that the front drives side fender has been painted (he had the car for 4 years now) so as i'm polishing down I noticed that the polish started to turn dark grey, so I stopped and WTF I cannot beleive what happened like the clear coat disinigrated, this area on the fender also had (look like clear coat runs) not sure if this area is contaminated or very poor preping of base paint?? check out the photo and see what you guys think!

Wow that is crazy. Definitely a paint defect. I've used SSR2.5 on speed 6 with an orange pad, on the same spot for over a minute (on 10 year old paint nonetheless) without a single issue.

Was that original paint or a repaint?

Re: Never Seen This Before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes, it looks like the repaint job was very shoddy, talk about thin paint!
