Hey guys

I was detailing my car yesterday and i was using my PC w/ XMT #3 and #1 via Orange and White LC Pads. After buffing twice with each product and using the correct methods i learned from here, i still have spiderwebs in my CC and i dont see it much until it is in the sun. What do i do to correct these things?

Re: Hey guys

What speed were you using? What pads were you using? What make and color vehicle? There's definately an individual learning curve as well, if this is your first time polishing, give it another try, vary the pressure used and the working time, maybe the speed settings, you really have to find what works for you.

Re: Hey guys

What make and color are the car? Clear coat ranges a great deal from very hard (which may be hard to fully correct with a PC and XMT 3) to very soft.

Sounds like you're doing things right, it may just be that 2 passes with #3 and orange may not be enough. I'd also suggest bumping the speed up to 6.

Re: Hey guys

The last BMW I did from that era (a 98 540 in silver) had some really hard clear coat. It would probably take a lot to get it 100% perfect with a PC and XMT polishes.

Re: Hey guys

How many times are you going over an area with the XMT 3? It might take a few passes to remove everything.
