Opinions on Winter Detail

Is it worth it to polish and use collinite in the middle of New England winter? I was thinking of just a wash and collinite to hold me over until spring, thinking that it would not be worth it to do a full detail now with all the snow, salt, ice, sand etc. What do you guys think?

i would wait until spring to use an abrasive polish in your climate. a paint cleaner and collinite should do. save your clear coat until spring.

I would go with a wash, clay, and collinite.

Re: Opinions on Winter Detail

I don't polish my car during the winter. With all the salt, dirt, etc. pummeling the finish most of the winter it's very likely to get scratched up again quickly.
