| | | First time over the car..... Just finished my first detail with my new XMT products and I have hazing. I did a search and it seems that maybe I didn't let the 7424 work it long enough. I used a clay bar first, followed by XMT3SR, followed by XMT Carnuba finsihing glaze and then finished with PS. To eliminate the hazing do I need to start completely over again or just go back to the XMT3 and work it longer? How do you tell if you've worked it long enough - does it completely disappear? I'm doing this on a black '04 CTS-V. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. |

| | | It should look like it is barely there. You should expect to spend about 3-5 minutes per section. PC is slow, but designed to be almost perfectly safe if following the directions. Hazing can be removed by a lower step polish, or you might need to use a less aggressive pad with the #3. |

| | The finish looks good, just hazed. Should I step down to a lower number XMT SR or would another product work better? |

| | | It all depends. There is no real formula for removing haze. Try using a lower number product, and if that doesn't work, you might try different pads. It can be tough, but be careful to use the least aggressive combo possible. |

| | | TNT: you might try doing a panel with XMT until the product almost disappears, then wipe the remaining off using a quick detailer and an mf towel. I got the same cloudiness on a Black Roush at first and this did the job.
