Improved Gloss

Stripped my hood of AIO and U.P.P. with Mothers Pre Wax last night, and applied Megs 21 x1 I wanter a sealer free finish before the MEGS 21.

Got a significant improvement in gloss, could it be that A.I.O. with its sealer and U.P.P conflict a little?? because since Mothers Pre-wax is sealant free, and putting on the Meg's 21 on a non sealant clean finish made the difference?

TO SUM UP: A.I.O.. and S .G. a match in heaven for compatability.....SAME COMPANY...

A I.O. and U.P.P Conflict a little?? 2 DIFF SEALERS.....

or MEGS 21 IS JUST SUPERIOR TO U.P.P..???

Just trying to figure out why the improvment......

UPP's gloss and slickness die off pretty quickly. the protection is still there because it still beads like crazy, but IMO the looks of a freshly applied layer last 2 washes MAX. This is probably why the fresh application of #21 looked better.

besides, UPP isn't a product that you use for having a finish look glossy and wet. Rather, it is most for reflections and longevity. Try UPP on a black car that has been polished, it WILL be a mirror.

Never thought of U.P.P.dying off so fast, we"ll see how fast 21 does in dying off

thanks.........

Everyone seems to get a long time out of UPP but for me, it's only lasted a month before the water would "puddle" on the hood and roof.

Could be.......I'm thinking of getting rid of my UPP not sure though. #16 is just my fav so there really it's any need for another LSP for me right now. But when my wifes 07 Ford Fuzion gets here I get to play with Dark Blue hehehehehehe.

I disagree with UPP wearing out quickly. It does lose some slickness after a wash or two but the look and beading is still there. What I have found is it likes you to use the same brand soap and gloss spray versus others. Now maybe its "softer" on the finish then other soaps, but I find it to be very versatile and durable.

#21 .... same NXT look, slightly better durability.
