    i use microfiber for cutting. (6.5" boss pads)
    and have a bunch of orange and white flat pads.

    also have blue ccs pads and black boss pads.


    but i did just order bunch of thin pro pads, and may be switching to those, we'll see.

    You will need the yellow for harder paints where the orange and white won't cut it.

    forgot to mention.. the GG Boss Pads would be another great option that also share the thin low profile design as well...

    Not necessarily. That just the more common approach, and what I've seen being recommended for years.

    My personal choice in pads I don't even recommend really.

    Surprised no one has mentioned the Megs THIN pads Meguiars 5 Inch DA Foam Discs

    They have gotten very good reviews and it's a simple set up in that there are only 3 levels of aggresiveness
