    BISSELL SpotClean ProHeat Portable?

Is this thing any good for $59.99 or is the more expensive one in the second link a much better choice? Thanks!

I would pick up the first one if its just for detailing but if it will get more use in the house than in the car I would get the second one.

the most common one that the majority are using is this one (may be slightly different in color), which can be found for under a $100. probably not advisable to use day in and day out (better suited to get a real extractor), but for the weekend warrior who does a few cars a month this should work...

I understand that theses little carpet cleaners for pets our inexpensive and do a ok job for detailing the interior of vehicles, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for... These machines lose there power quick and don't remove as much dirt as a real carpet extractor plus they require a lot of maintaining if your detailing a lot of vehicles. I would say if you want a real machine save your money up and buy a real carpet extractor like a mytee lite. If your looking for something for just cleaning your own vehicles then yes this would be just fine. Trust me tho having a real carpet extractor will get every job done, if you get a real nasty interior your gonna be mad at this machine it's either not gonna get what you want done or its not gonna turn out how you want it to be and your gonna end up going old school with the brush and your vac. Plus rolling up to a job with this machine just doesn't look professional... Save your money up and buy the right tools and look and work 100% professional and your always have happy returning customers.

    Just from my experience

    Re: BISSELL SpotClean ProHeat Portable?

I have been doing 3-4 cars per week with the Little Green Machine. Not sure what "maintaining" ASAP2stacks was talking about but here is the method that I use in all of my customers cars.

    1. Vac
    2. Stiff brush carpet and vac again
    3. Apply Carpet shampoo of your choice via pump sprayer use stiff brush to work into carpet
    4. Use Little Green machine with only Water to extract and rinse.

This has worked amazing for me and I have had my lil Green machine for over 2 years with no issues. I like the clean head so you can see when it's pulling up dirt and you can use it until the water runs clear.

I see no reason to spend 7x what I paid to get a extractor and I did 3 cars with it this weekend outside in 95 degree heat and it didn't overheat or anything. They are well built and stout machines. The only thing I hate is I have to fill it with water 2-3 times per car.

As long as you are not an idiot and make sure you get all the dirt out, it looks professional and my customers have no clue that I don't use a $1,500 extractor.

    Re: BISSELL SpotClean ProHeat Portable?

Im sorry you feel that way wn1998 and I'm happy that its working for you, but when you really get into detailing nice cars and you roll up to a job or the customer brings there vehicle in to get detailed and they have a bentley or lets say something vintage and they start seeing little green machines laying around i think my customers would jump into there car and speed away. Yes doing 3-4 average vehicles a day like soccer moms or some young kids honda then yes your fine with this machine like i said above.

    just my 2 cents

I'm sure plenty of detailers that do this for a living would agree with me.
