| Rinsing off polish dust
How do you go buy rinsing off the polish dust after you're done polishing/compounding? Do you just jet spray the car down, or do you do anything else?

I just use a lot of 425 and a MF. I don't want to take the time to wash again. My only fear doing it that way is that it could scratch, but that has not been the case.

I just high pressure the car down, also get in the crevices to get any polish out.

It depends on what polish I am using. Lately I have been polishing with 106ff and that does not dust all the much. Taping alot can really help to stop dust from getting into the cracks. Some people think that it is not worth it, but I tape off everything. Usually, I can get away with using pinn paint work cleanse to get all of the dust / residue off the car. The taping help when you are using a XMT #3 and #4 too.
I use poorboys spray and wipe to get dust that makes it past my tape.

I use ONR mixed in a spray bottle with a MF towel to clean off the dust.

I use Meg's #34 if there isn't much dust, but when there is to much then a quick wash will do for me. I also use tape all the time it's just a little insurance policy for me.

Thanks for the feedback guys . Well, when I use XMT 3 it dusts quite a bit so I had to rinse/jet spray the car off. No biggie for me, just dried the car up and I'm done. I'll use DP 4 in 1 QD mix as well to help me out.

when I used Megs DACP, I would actually rewash the car. With most others the new Menzerna Final Inspection is all thats needed or alcohol/water wipe.
