Re: BMW paint questions
Dan,
I have the adaptive Xenon lights on both my 07 and 11 3 series. I can assure you the adaptive Xenons not only auto level but swivel left and right with the steering wheel.

BMW paint is hard, this color is great. I'd put on a coating instead of a sealant/wax.
That is so awesome it's SICK! WOW!!

Exactly what he said, great advice.
I wouldn't drive it home with the wrap on it, I'd unwrap it on the lot and then inspect it in front of the salesman inch by inch and have a led flashlight handy. I found a ding after the fact when I detailed it at home even though I did that at the dealership when I got my Rogue a couple months a go.

Re: BMW paint questions
Gentlemen,
Again, thanks for the feedback.
First, regarding the BMW Xenon headlights... I stand corrected. The Xenon headlights ARE adaptive, and swivel left and right right to follow curves. The problem occured because the ONLY place I could find on the BMW website that mentioned that the Xenon headlights were adaptive was by clicking the "Xenon headlights" option in the build your own utility (which is not working at this writing). Note that the TITLE of that option mentions nothing about adaptive headlights. Search for Xenon on the the BMW site? Nope. Nothing about adaptive. (I don't get that logic, but whatever...)
But wait... The headlight story gets even more confusing. Apparently (to be confirmed), there are many hidden options that are normally not available in the US of A that ARE available elsewhere in the world! These options can be turned on by changing the codes in the X3. The extent that these available options affect the lighting features is TBD.
The X3 models I'm considering are the 28i in either the xLine or M Sport. The primary issue is the seat. I slightly prefer the xLine looks and more utilitarian persona, but the M Sport seat is much better. But the M Sport seat has a couple issues too. Since my back and knees are extremely bad, seat comfort is critical. The more comfortable seat drives my buying decision.
I'm still digging, but right now I don't see any significant advantages of the LED over Xenon except maybe for looks. And I'm not spending $1,900 (USD) for a bit better looks.
On detailing the BMW, I have everything I need except for a new LSP and maintenance protocol. So I just ordered the PBL Elite kit plus booster with some extra applicators. We'll see how it goes.
Again, many thanks for the great help!
Regards,
Dan.

Please start your own thread on asking for advice rather than bringing up an old thread. Also state what products you have on hand, the model and year of vehicle, if it has BC/CC or single stage etc.
