Don't bother giving empirical evidence, as it has been deemed irrelevant. Heuristics be damned.

Re: When do heated and nonheated garages do damage?
Uh, you challenged me throughout this thread. I think you finally figured out you're wrong and are in denial and rewording your posts so u don't have to admit it to yourself. I was trying to be civil about it. Why are you asking the same questions I am on my thread anyway? Of course it's drying out and the moisture(water or melted ice) has already done it's damage. You contradict yourself. If you would like to know how, stay tuned. I'll tell u tomorrow.I'm tired and going to sleep. Oh, I'm sure you're going to ask what questions u are asking that are the same as mine too.I'll fill u in on that too. U have a good night Allen

More importantly, I would trade some increased oxidation for the comfort of getting into a 50 degree seat, with no snow or ice on the windshield

•General definition of atmosphere:
-The atmosphere consists of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% water vapor, and a minute amount of other trace gases.
•A heated garage's volumetric-space can be considered as having an "atmosphere".
•Humidity is a measurement of the amount of atmospheric moisture.
•What's the correlation, if any, between water and moisture?
•Can a heated garage ever be devoid of humidity?
Based on the above, I can only conclude that:
•No...even after spending 12 hours in a heated garage:
-Vehicles have not "dried out";
-Any rusting-accelerants that are present will continue to act as rusting-accelerants.
•Only the rate at which rusting will occur is affected.
-As mentioned earlier:
The corrosion rate falls off at around 176°F...with the decrease in oxygen solubility becoming the most important factor.
No way in just keeping it simple, I suppose.

Re: When do heated and nonheated garages do damage?
I'm hoping that someone will close this thread. I come to AutoGeek to learn not debate. I am familiar with snow, the sand and salt that DOT's put down, even the brine solutions. During the winter washing getting salt chunks off and getting the undercarriage is a must. Those of us who live in the north go thru snow, wind, rain and sun. Leaving your vehicle outside exposed to the elements. Keeping your vehicle clean and maintained is your choice. You work with what you have. I would prefer to have read about how the mfg. are rust proofing their vehicle or how to prevent/maintain vehicles. Please put and end to this thread.

I don't get why you're being pig-headed. The first post asked for opinions and experiences, and you said, "I'm assuming," but when Monica and I shared our first-hand experiences you blew us off. When questioned about the sources of your dubious knowledge, you blew those people off. If you just want to read your own gibberish, why not start your own blog and stop asking questions here?
