light scratches seen with led light
Today i applied cquarzt to my daughters slk 250.
i started out washing then used nanoskin on the DA.
i then polished with menzerna 4000 with a yellow hybrid pad. i had it in the garage with floresent lights
and it looked good. then i re washed it and hit it with eraser. I then applied the coating.
When i was done i lit up my led lights and was not happy. i seen some scratches that i didnt see before. my question is when i take it out tomorrow do you think they will show up
with the sun hitting it?

Hard to say. What color is the paint? If it's on the lighter scale, I'd bet that no one but you will notice them and the only reason you would even see them is because you searched them out and probably have a mental map of their location. A darker color may show them more readily under the sun and at certain angles.

Don't let it bother you to much! I'm sure it looks amazing and your just being critical of your work. Any pics?

Led will show everything this why you should use them while doing any kind of paint correction. I switched over and wow they don't hide anything at all.

yes i just learned that the hard way. when i took it out this morning in the sun it didnt look bad. it actually look pretty good. could have been a little better but my problem im always looking for perfection. after using nanoskin on the DA i thing i should have used fg400 instead
of 4000. when i get the pics ill post them thanks for ur feed back

Thanks for your support. it does look better outside in the sun than with the led shining on it.
i will post some pics later today.

This is the truth. They are almost too good! I've noticed that a bright, single LED light will expose defects that aren't even visible in direct sunlight.

the reason i didnt want to polish with it on because they throw off so much heat.
but next time i will put them on so i know wat was on the car before i start. When i was done and put the lights on i wasnt sure wat was on the car or not .lol
