    Blackfire Crystal Seal on Wheels

    Hey guys,

I picked up some BFCS to use on my new Jeep that I'll be picking up later today. I also bought a new set of wheels for it, that I sanded down and painted a satin black, leaving the lip polished. I was wondering if I used the BFCS on the wheels, if it would make the satin black parts glossy. I had cleared a couple of the wheels, but went back and sanded them down and repainted, forgoing the clear, as it made them glossy. I like the plain satin black look much better.

It might give them a more uniform sheen but it shouldn't make them glossy...

Ive found when using BFCS the properties of the product you applied it to stay the same so your wheels will stay their satin black look.

I worked on a Challenger a month ago with the same wheels and applied BFCS on those as well.

Awesome, thanks! What is the procedure for application? Wipe on and let sit? Wipe off? Is there anything I should follow it up with?

I would follow it up with a coat of Collinite 845 wax. With those two together they will protect for quite a while. Thats what I do on my F150 and the dirt just comes off with the hose

Wipe on VERY thinly and let it sit for a few minutes and dry. Then follow up with another coat if you want. Once everything has set on the second coat for about 15 minutes follow with a very light buff with a soft towel. Thats what I do and it takes maximum of 20 minutes to do all four.

I use it on painted wheels, and metal wheels.

Thanks guys. So what would be a good polish to use on a brand new car, prior to the BFCS?

I have the Griot's Garage polisher, btw.
