    Weights on inside of wheels (how to clean off)

    Does anybody know of a good product or way to remove the sticky backing of the wheel weight left behind when they rebalance it with new ones. The inside of the barrel of my wheel is very clean but the backing from the leftover weights still remains. Any suggestions?

    3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, bug and tar remover, adhesive remover, decal remover, tree sap remover

    WD-40 or mineral spirits will probably work, too. Or Goof Off, Goo Be Gone, one of those products from the supermarket/CVS/Walgreen/Wal-Mart/Target.

    I use a citrus product called De-Solv-It but not sure if it's available in the USA. Great for adhesives of any sort
