| Update to PT Cruiser Pillars
This is an update to the previous thread http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...r-pillars.html
What finally worked was XMT3 applied by hand, using the orange side of the polish & wax applicator. They turned out great.

Thanks for sharing, there are so many "different" pieces on vehicles that it is hard to figure out what to use on them. Nice to share what works, it will help out others!

I got a question though, do you think it would be wise to use it with the PC or a rotary? You could use a 4inch pad and the XMT #3. I'm curious to see what your thoughts are on this.

I dont see why you couldnt use the PC. Id rather use the PC then a rotary though.

Id rather use the PC then a rotary though. | Yea good point, perhaps if you keep the RPM really low on the rotary it might work but then again the minimum speed on my Metabo is about 700RPM. I'm going to give this a try next time I get an opportunity, what are the pilards made off? Plastic? Or Metal...I guess it depends on the vehicle really. The Toyota I just did was metal and I did use XMT #3 and the Metabo with 4inch pads...worked good.

I'm curious to see what your thoughts are on this. | It would've been a lot quicker if it was done with PC and 4"LC pad. But I don't have any 4" pads. This is my friend's PT Cruiser. I lent him the XMT3 and wax/polish applicator pad to use over the weekend. So with some elbow grease he got it out. I saw the results when I parked beside him at work. Got a camera and snapped a couple of pics in the parking lot.
