Autogeek, to their credit, does not appear to edit the comments. I panned the foam lug nut brush a few years ago (still don't like it) and it is still there today. | You should see the gallon pump reviews. All 7 of them are like one stars lmao!

I too like "wax" but because I enjoy the whole process so much, I seem to apply a fresh coat of sealant every 3-4 weeks. For that reason and the fact that it looks so good on white paint, I've zeroed in on BFCS & WGDLS spray sealants. Oh did I mention that since it's so incredibly easy it is to apply, (maybe 10 minutes to do the whole car) that I simply cannot resist going around the vehicle on a regular basis. If you gave me a can of $1k wax, I would try & do the same thing so clearly it would be a waste for someone like me. Honestly from all the testing and head to head comparisons I've done, don't think I would get better results from any other "wax" at any price point. But as always, YMMV

I used to buy a wax to give away to my customers as a promotional thing to get my name out on a local basis. The formulator said a guy used to ship in cases of fancy metal 8 ounce tins with gold leaf to have filled with his grape scented carnauba paste. The formulator claimed that the fancy tins were featured in some high scale magazine as selling for over $500 per tin. It was supposedly some of the best wax available at any price.
I paid $10.80 for a 16 ounce tub of the exact same wax in a plastic tub with a quickly printed non UV coated Tuscarora Dave's label on it. The promotional gag I did was a long time ago and I never did sell it so I guess it's OK to mention it in this thread without being labeled a shill.
It probably was some of the best wax available because the formulator showed me 50 pound sacks of the cleanest grade Brazilian carnauba wax flakes that is commonly used in the finest waxes formulated.
If one feels better spending $1000 for a wax, more power to them. I think the willingness to spend that kind of money on a wax has little to do with the wax but more to do with financial "status". To each his own I say.
I personally wouldn't pay more than $50 for any carnauba wax.

The hucksters of these obscenely-priced, and: Allegedly "high-end" wax products...are, to me:
Obscene as well.
I'll admit that some of Chemical Guy's "How-To's" are entertaining...
But I wouldn't spend that kind of money to even:
Try-out...any of these 'products' of theirs. Chemical Guys Nissan GTR Sexy Model CAR CARE EPIC HOTNESS - YouTube

That is another reason I don't trust them. If their products are really as good as they hype them up to be, why do they have to post pictures and videos with half naked girls everywhere?

Some CG products are exceptional and priced fairly. Others have very poor performance.

It's just advertising at its best take every review (not only on the cg website) with a grain of salt, and sit back, relax, and enjoy looking at beautiful women
