Re: Should I get Microfiber Pads?

Alright guys, I think I'm ordering the OPT MF pads.

Will I need the polishing pads too? I was just thinking about using the white foam as, in reviews, the polishing pads are sometimes to aggressive.

Re: Should I get Microfiber Pads?

Actually, you can get by with finishing pad on the cutting process.
When OCC was waiting for their new shipment of mf pads this past spring, DR.G. commented that cutting pads/finishing pads not being that far off from one another...will see if I can provide a link.

Sweet are you planning on doing a write up? I like to see what you come out with and what your thoughts are. I'm interested in expanding on my pad collection.

Re: Should I get Microfiber Pads?

I thought the final versions of the Opt pads, the cutting was very coarse and some have commented that they leave hazing while the Meg's cutting pads don't. I really like the MF pads, even if they are a bit of a pain with having to blow them out between panels.

Biggest source of hazing, regardless of pad mfg. - was with product choice, usually 205.
Would like to see a link...actually it doesn't matter, I got my process nailed down.

Cool pictures, turnaround was great!

Did you finish with the polishing pads or with foam?

Just called in my order, but unfortunately had to go through the "sister" site because I wanted to try Tuf shine tire cleaner and AG doesn't have that yet

Re: Should I get Microfiber Pads?

EDIT: polishing pads/I do not use MF cutting pads. But I do spin 6.5" mf Polishing pads on the 9227C @900 rpm, and at 10-1100 on the 849.

OAN: got the opportunity to polish out an Merc E-class Sunday using foam only...sure missed the MF.
