Even worse than AA was this STP Son Of A Gun stuff. It was a product like AA, but even greasier. I used to buy it because it was always a dollar less.

Re: I used Armor All, yes I did!

While we're reminiscing, remember the days when you washed the car with dishwasher detergent and dried it with the family bath towels. Didn't start using Armor All until years later.

I use AA quite often on tires. Looks nice, not overly shiny, and it's readily available. Honestly, I cannot see paying a ton of money when AA works just fine.

Got rid of my armor all wipes and spray just a few months ago. It was all I knew until I started browsing all these forums.

I humbly beg to differ...what if the customer specifically requests said product?

Good night

It's without a doubt the most known detailing protectant on the market. Do they want it because they believe its the best or do they know no different? I suggest it's the latter and up to detailers to educate their customers of their other options and advantages/disadvantages of them.

Having said that the formula of AA has changed vastly and is a very different product from when I used to use it. It's name was tarnished in its heyday when it used non water based silicones.

Re: I used Armor All, yes I did!

Back in 1991 my first car, a red Isuzu Impulse was Armour All'ed to death every week. Inside and out.

Remember the black plastic/rubber bumpers? If I recall it even had a black plastic side rail.

Still, I loved that car more than any other I have owned.
