Iron X vs Wolf Chemicals decon gel Vs Brown Royal

So I have a set of chrome wheels that need to be cleaned. They are in pretty rough shape they have been stored for about a yr and they were not cleaned before storing. They have baked on brake dust and they looked pitted but they are still in great shape beside the surface grim. I cleaned half a wheel with P21s polishing soap and I did great job but it took way too long. I need something to brake down the contaminents on the wheels before polishing with P21s.

I have used IronX before but it can get expensive if used as a wheel cleaner. Does anyone have experience with either wolfs decon gel or royal brown? if so how do they compare to IronX?

Also willing to try some OTC products that might work.

Any kind of help is highly appreciated.

Have s great weekend Everyone.

Meg's D140 Wheel Brightener would work too. It is safe for Chrome Rims. Iron-X is a beast on neglected wheels but, you are right, it's a little on the spendy side.

I have never used Brown Royal; heard it was good. Wolf's Decon gel is very much like IronX. However, it is not as potent so it needs to dwell on the surfaces 3-5x longer than you would with IronX before you take it off. If you don't mind the added time then go Wolf's.

I would try meg's wheel brightner if you are wanting to place an order or can find it local. Otherwise meg's otc chrome specific wc. Either way, I would at least treat them with ironx or sonax full effect wc after cleaning with a chrome wc or apc to make sure to stop an future corrosion; or ironx paste would work even better for clinging to the wheel longer and not going straight on the ground.
I have used this technique on several sets of trashed chrome wheels and every client was amazed at the out come.

There is a new deironizer that I am willing to try: Autofinesse Iron Out. It is thicker than IronX (clings better to the surfaces) and has the highest concentration of the main active ingredient on the market. In Europe it isn't cheap, though...
I don't know if you can find Autofinesse OTC in the US...
There are other deironizers: for instance, Autobrite Purple Rain.

This stuff looks nuts. Thinking about getting it to clean the barrels of my wheels, they are looking rough.

I also heard that wheel brightener has a really harsh chemical in it that is pretty bad for your health. That's the only thing that scares me away from it.

Iron Out - Iron Remover

I only recently found out about this product line. I'm looking at their Citrus APC, since it won't remove waxes/sealants.
