    baked on brake dust removal help

    i just brought a mustang and am trying to remove this thick baked on brake dust from one of the wheels. the others i got out with some apc+ and degreaser but this one has it really baked and looks like rust. what could i buy local that might work.thanks

    Maybe Sonax wheel cleaner it great stuff.

    +1 to Sonax. Put it on there, let it dwell for a minute or two and then come back and agitate. Repeat if necessary.

    Wd40 is also sometimes what you need for those seriously baked on stuff

    is that a g35 you have in your picture. i wanted to purchase one but the prices went up in the summer instead i got a mustang. how do you like it and is it manual or auto.thanks for the reply by the way

    +4 on Meguiar's Wheel Brightener....

    Sometimes I'll scrub the affected area with a brass or nylon bristled brush to loosen the debris. Once you're through wash the wheel again with soap and water then rinse.
