Wax-able new repaint

Just got my door repainted. I ask the painter when I can wax that door. He said the door was baked at certain temperature for a hour and it's wax-able. Is it true?

Re: Wax-able new repaint

I would ask who manufactured the paint and clear they used, then check the manufacturers data sheets on line.

Go straight to the source!!

Re: Wax-able new repaint

Waiting is never a bad idea. But the painter, who gave you a warranty on the work?, said go ahead. I would just wax away. He was confident in instructing you that waiting isn't necessary so I would be confident in trusting him. But that's just my opinion
