New Favorite LSP Combo

Recently took delivery of wife's new Golf and the dealer honored my request to not wash or do any exterior prep so the car was virtually swirl free. However, they had taken the protective plastic off and the car sat out for a couple of weeks in high heat with off and on rain. Hood and roof each had a few large water etchings and numerous smaller spots. White vinegar and some minor polishing with HD Advanced Polish took care of them so it was time for adding a LSP. Been using DG 601/105 and for years for the lengthy protection, but love the look of HD Poxy (hybrid sealant/wax) so decided to do both. Put on a coat of the DG601/105 cocktail and then added a coat of HD Poxy the next morning. Only time will tell how this combo holds up to the elements, but I do love the look. What do you think??

It looks great. I also think it would have looked just as good with two coats of DG 105. But that's just a crusty codger talking .

HD Polish is the bomb diggity. In theory your Poxy should last 2-3 months.

That's what I figure also and the 105 will be there as back up if for some reason I don't get a chance to add another coat of Poxy.

That's what I thought, but was very surprised with the look after the Poxy-much deeper and wetter--especially on the black--not so much on my Granite Green Passat, although the Poxy gave it a "richer" appearance.

That's the wax talking. I always like to follow up Duragloss 105 or 501 with a carnauba on black.
