Finally got some polishing in and the shine is starting to come out

This was the presta cuting compound with a wool pad I'll be finishing the rest of the car tomorrow with this and maybe moving on to the m205

Did some more polishing on the other side of the car and much better results then the first time doing it so now it's time for the m205 swirl remover with the white pad that may be somewhat tomorrow or maybe during this week we'll see

Thanks mike for he recommendation on the wool pad I still used the presta cutting compound since I already had it and it made a big difference from using a foam pad

Thank you so much for the update, I love seeing projects like this through to success!

Keep us posted and you're going to love the M205, it will really clean up the paint after compounding and it's easy to wipe-off...

Sounds great I can see swirls in it but it's really hard to capture on camera with the pearl in it but I may be at it tomorrow after work

Any recommendations for using then rotary buffer on the doors? This thing is man handling me haha

Rotary buffers tend to impart swirls due to their direct drive rotating action. Most of the time the lubricating agents will fill them so you don't see them just keep a good coat of wax no the car when you're done and the paint should look good.

Hold the rotary buffer closer to you instead of extended away from you this will give you leverage over the buffer. IF you hold it away from you it gains leverage over you causing you to work harder to control it.

Clean you pad often, that's a huge plus. Some tips here,
