A Chicagoland get together?

I see all the bootcamps down in FLA and they're surely a wealth of knowledge for sure but I was wondering if we could do something like this in our backyard? I see we've got quite a few members here, as well as shops, so it would cool as hell to get together and put a name with a face, as well as check out some great cars and learn some tips and tricks from people, everyone has something to offer the group I'm sure!

Now I live in apartment and have no garage to offer the group, I'm just throwing this out there to see what sticks. Its the middle of summer and really getting hot right now, so I'm thinking by the time this would grow legs, it could be early fall and the weather would be perfect.

So, if you've got access to a shop of some size or a pretty large garage or barn and wanna host something like this, I think it would be a great time, Chicagoland has some of the nicest cars out there and this is coming from someone who grew up in Detroit, car capital of the world, Chicagoland has it going on for sure, hands down

I am in Central Illinois and would be totally down for coming to this as Florida is just too far to drive

I am also for a Chicagoland meet , but like you dont have a place to hold it . A few years ago we had a meet and it was great. A member had a shop and we held it there. we all chipped in for Pizza and pop, and we worked on 3 cars.

Yeah we could find a deserving car(s) to do, bring our stuff and each do a section of the car (front/doors/rear). We could surely find some people that have done something for the community that deserve something like this, I believe in good karma, even if it doesn't come back to me, I know I'd be apart of something nice for someone, plus we get to all meet up, hang out, check out each others cars, learn something and have a generally good time doing so.

Now we just need to find that shop and/or garage big enough, just getting it out there, we'll end up with something!

Yeah, surrounding areas are most welcome for sure. Once we get a place to do this, we can then select a date that works best for everyone, well, most everyone!
